It’s been a decade since Seattle had an NBA team, at the conclusion of the 2007-2008 season the Sonics relocated to OKC and became the Thunder. Seattle fans anticipated the game with a fervor and appreciation. Durant wore a retro Shawn Kemp jersey in honor of his return to Seattle. Gary Payton was also present and sat at courtside as a spectator. Spencer Hawes is a native of Seattle and attended the ‘U Dub’ as a Husky before being drafted by the Sacramento Kings in 2007 draft.
