OVC on ESPN+
A media rights extension August saw the OVC agree to stream a minimum of 600 conference contests on ESPN+. This year, 209 men’s and women’s regular season games plans to stream on ESPN+ as will approximately 110 non-conference contests. The men’s tournament championship game tips off on Saturday, Mar. 9 and will air on ESPN2.
Murray State won the men’s tournament a year ago, marking their 16th overall which is the best by a long shot. Western Kentucky, a school that now plays in the Conference-USA, has the second most championships with 10. Murray State won last year’s championship in the Ford Center, the site of the 2019 tournament as well. It marks the second straight season the Ford Center will host the OVC Tournament after the Nashville Municipal Auditorium hosted the event all seven years prior.
