Carabao Cup

Arsenal vs Brentford Preview

Arsenal are on a five game win streak. This match against Brentford in the EFL cup is a good opportunity for Unai Emery to rest some of his key players.

It won’t be a surprise if Emery’s in-form Gunners go goal-crazy when they host Dean Smith’s Bees in the EFL Cup at the Emirates Stadium this week.

Arsenal lost to Nottingham Forest last year in this competition and this could be the biggest upset of the round.

Team News:

With Sead Kolasinac, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Laurent Koscielny and Konstantinos Mavropanos all injured for Arsenal, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Nacho Monreal may be forced to start again.

Overview:

Brentford have not scored just twice since March. They’ve conceded 10 goals in their last six away games. Arsenal have scored 16 in 7 games but kept their first clean sheet on Sunday. The way Arsenal is playing and in sync with the current trend, it looks like it’ll be a bloodbath.

Predictions:

Brentford look like they don’t have the tactical nous and experience to cause a major upset. We are going for a comfortable Arsenal win for this one.

Score: 4-1
