Fantasy Waiver Wire Pick Ups For Week 3 Include Lindsay and Dissly

As the season has commenced we are starting to see this year’s breakout fantasy sleeper sensations come to surface. After Week 2, we have already had some notable surprises. It’s the beginning of the season so now is the time to grab those diamonds hidden in the rough of the NFL.

Players To Swoop Up

Phillip Lindsay (Broncos RB):

After being drafted in barely any fantasy leagues this year, Lindsay has showed out in both Week 1 and 2. It was expected that 2018 draft pick Royce Freeman would be the featured back for the Broncos. However, that hasn’t been the case these last two Sundays. The two split snaps in the backfield and Lindsay ended up with 15 touches in week one. Lindsay carried a heavy workload and made the most of his opportunities. After week one owners were debating whether it was a fluke performance or not. His performance in Week 2 confirmed that was not the case. In Week 2 versus the Raiders, he led the team in carries by a convincing margin of 6 carries. He rushed for 107 yards and averaged 7.6 yards per carry. With the kind of production, he could be a game changer for any fantasy team. If Lindsay isn’t owned in your league, grab him. He could be this year’s fantasy super sleeper.

Will Dissly (Seahawks TE):

Going into Week 1 Dissly wasn’t even atop the Seahawks depth chart. That didn’t stop him from putting up over 100 yards and a touchdown. In Week 2 he didn’t drop off. He caught three passes for over 43 yards and a touchdown. Dissly went into Week 1 as the second string tight end for the Seahawks. However, he came out as the first stringer. Now is the time to move, if someone else hasn’t already.

Jesse James (Steelers TE):

In deeper formats Jesse James could be a solid value. James tallied 19.8 points last week. That performance was largely due to Antonio Brown and Juju Smith-Schuster drawing so much coverage. That’s going to be happening all season long so there is a good chance that you will get some decent production out of Jesse James. He reeled in five receptions last week which is a very good sign that he is getting looks from Big Ben. James could be a nice option if you’re looking to stream a tight end.

John Brown (Ravens WR):

Brown has really surprised in his first two games. On a new team nobody was sure what to expect, but he has not disappointed. In his first two games he has caught two touchdowns and in Week 2 he was targeted ten times. If he keeps getting targets up around 10 he is a must-grab on your waiver wire. His next three games are against some mediocre defenses as well. The Ravens go up against a struggling Broncos defense, the Steelers, and then the Browns. There is a good chance that Brown will continue to get a hefty amount of looks from Flacco especially considering Crabtree’s underwhelming start to the season.

Other Players To Snag

Matt Breida (49ers RB)

Corey Clement (Eagles RB)

Austin Ekeler (Chargers RB)

O.J. Howard (Buccaneers TE)

Quincy Enunwa (Jets WR)

Bears D/ST

Brandon McManus (Broncos K)

Javorius Allen (Ravens RB)
