Matt Hardy Announces Retirement
As a WWE fan, we experience it ALL! The injuries and even the retirements. Matt Hardy has decided to retire from the WWE, but why you ask? His answer was the best answer we could ever get.
Last Saturday, at a live event in Corpus Christi, Texas, was the last time we will see Matt Hardy wrestle in the WWE ring. Announcing his retirement, he tweeted out:
“It’s time for me to go home. To be a father and a husband. I did so much more than u ever imagined I would do in this industry. Thanks for this incredible journey with me, ladies and gentleman. I love you all!”
What’s Next?
Hardy accomplished so much in the WWE and other brands of wrestling. Several single championships, and numerous tag team championships with his brother Jeff. Hardy will indeed be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, with all his many accomplishments. At the age of 43, (almost 44 – his birthday is Sept. 23) he has decided where he needs to be – home. Besides, he needs to prepare the WWE for its future. His two sons, Maxel and Wolfgang, will be the future WWE Tag Team Champions one day!
Happy Retirement Matt! We will be seeing you soon! As of Sept. 15, 2018, Matt Hardy has DELETED himself from the in-ring action! Good luck Matt!
