Xhaka Stunner Helps Gunners Continue Their Winning Run
Granit Xhaka helped seal victory for Arsenal in some emphatic fashion with an absolute stunner.
Xhaka scored a superb free-kick and Mesut Ozil was also on target as Arsenal won 2-1 at Newcastle United to claim a third successive Premier League victory.
Arsenal have found their groove after losses against Man City and Chelsea having won 3 games on the bounce.
Xhaka opened the scoring in stunning fashion, beating Martin Dubravka from 25 yards. Additionally, he played a part in the second as Ozil effectively sealed the points.
A strong case was made for the start of Lucas Torreira with Arsenal looking much more solid defensively when he came on in the second half.
Petr Cech and the Arsenal back-line was quite shaky. However, having found life difficult for much of the first half. In addition, Saturday’s contest had the look of one in which Arsenal would normally crumble. But with the help of two of their stars who have come under scrutiny brought them victory against a solid Newcastle side.
