What does Yogi Ferrell bring to an already young Kings team?
Ferrell is only 25 and has proved himself a reliable NBA player. Now that he’s out of Dallas, can he replicate the production he had in the Lone Star state? There’s no reason to believe he doesn’t. As mentioned before, he went undrafted in 2016. Once he was given an opportunity to prove himself in the NBA, he took it and has not looked back since. In Sacramento, he’s going to have ample opportunity for minutes. Mason will get minutes, but the Kings wanted a more reliable backup to Fox. Ferrell will be able to pick up the slack if and when Fox goes through a sophomore slump. The former Hoosier provides a burst of energy, whether it be off the bench or in the starting lineup.
Ferrell gives the Kings depth and reliability off the bench. He’s a player they can plug into certain lineups. He also can pick up the slack when the young players are struggling. An A+ pick up this off-season by Vlade Divac and company.
