‘Philly Special’ Statue Sneak Peak
If you’re a fan of the NFL, then there’s a pretty good chance you’ve heard of the “Philly Special.”
For those unaware, the ‘Philly Special’ was a trick play used by the Eagles on fourth and goal just prior to halftime in Super Bowl LII. The play included RB Corey Clement, TE Trey Burton and QB Nick Foles. Foles positioned himself behind and to the right of the offensive line. The ball was snapped back to Clement. Clement went on to pitch the ball to Burton. Burton, in turn, passed the ball to a wide open Foles for a touchdown.

Last week, Bud Light released a short video hinting to Philadelphia Eagles fans that a statue was in production. The phrase “You want Philly Philly?” is incorporated at the end of the video. This lead many to jump to the conclusion that the statue may depict the now-famous moment shared between Coach Doug Pederson and QB Nick Foles discussing whether to run the play.

That theory, however, now appears all but confirmed — after an image surfaced Tuesday of the statue outside Lincoln Financial Field.
