LeBron James’ Departure Opens Things Up For Wizards

With LeBron James departing to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Eastern Conference is now available for the taking. However, what does that mean for the Washington Wizards? Nobody knows, but the Wizards now have a chance to be a top four team in the Eastern Conference because of James’ departure. They can become a 50 win team without James in the East.

James’ Departure Will Make The Wizards A Higher Seed

A ghost has haunted the Wizards for a decade, and they seemed not able to stop it. Now, that the haunted has left, the East and has landed in the West will make the Wizards be a higher seed.

The answer is yes. They have the talent, and now they have the best bench they’ve ever had in the last four years. The continuous problem has been not beating James and not having the bench that can compete against the Cleveland Cavaliers over the last decade.

Where Does The Departure Of LeBron James Leave The Wizards?

I think the departure of James should motivate the Wizards. The Wizards have been a top four team in the east four out of the last five years. Last year was a year of injuries and especially the injury to their superstar John Wall.

The Wizards aren’t better without him, and it’s just that simple. However, the Wizards will be a 50 plus win team because without James on the Cavaliers I can pretty much give the Wizards three out of four wins against them.

To be exact, the Wizards will be 52-30 and seal their first 50 win season since the 1978-79 season. The next question is this- Will no James and a higher seed help them reach the Eastern Conference Finals? Well, you’ll have to wait until the season starts and when the playoffs arrive.
