“All In” Final Results and Grades
Now that the cards have been laid out and the chips have been counted, can it be declared Cody and the Young Buck’s gamble paid off? All In was a one-of-a-kind show. It featured surprise appearances, unforgettable moments, and a new level of wrestling. All In has set the bar for shows, independent or corporate, to live up to. But just how well did All In turn out?
(Zero Hour) So-Cal Uncensored def. The Briscoes via pinfall
Final Grade: B-
This match was the perfect way to grab audience attention and prepare them for a long night of wrestling. The Briscoes attempted to isolate each opponent to deliver as much damage as possible. Each member of So-Cal fought back against their larger opponents with faster-paced offense. The end came when the Briscoes attempted a Doomsday Device on Kazarian; Kazarian caught Jay mid-air with a thunderous powerslam and followed it up with the deciding pinfall.
(Zero Hour) Flip Gordon wins the “Over The Budget” Battle Royal
Final Grade: A+
This battle royal was fun, plain and simple. Each competitor got their shine. Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer brought back ECW for a brief moment. Marko Stunt was used as a human rag doll. But arguably the MVP of the match was Jordynne Grace. Grace used her incredible strength to toss around her male opponents on more than one occasion. She stood toe to toe with some of the bigger wrestlers, showing she wasn’t backing down from any kind of fight.
But, after an unmasking from an unknown luchador that turned out to be none other than Flip Gordon, Bully Ray was eliminated last to finally declare Flip “all in” and give him a shot at Jay Lethal.
Matt Cross def. MJF via pinfall
Final Grade: C+
MJF was arrogant and cocky throughout the entire match. Matt Cross showed that, despite his older age, he could still go the distance with the younger wrestlers. It was a classic underestimated veteran against an arrogant up-and-comer match that saw Cross pick up the win after a Shooting Star Press.
Christopher Daniels def. Stephen Amell via pinfall
Final Grade: B
As is the case with celebrities in wrestling, Amell’s in-ring ability would be underestimated. But did he ever prove the critics wrong in this match!
Daniels delivered a Falcon Arrow and Angel’s Wings for only a two count. Amell successfully hit a Van Daminator. Amell, in the top spot of the match, crashed through a table after a top rope dive to the outside was avoided last minute. In the end, the BME was what sealed the deal. Jerry Lynn was the referee, which resulted in a confrontation with Daniels. But “The Fallen Angel” still won in the end.
4-Corners Survival: Tessa Blanchard def. Chelsea Green, Britt Baker, and Madison Rayne via pinfall over Green
Final Grade: A-
This match is some of the best women’s wrestling anyone will ever see. Each woman got their offense in. Baker came out to Adam Cole’s (BAY BAY) music. Green delivered a Broski Boot as an homage to boyfriend Zack Ryder. Rayne and Blanchard continuously butted heads throughout the match. After a hammerlock DDT to Green, Blanchard was able to be declared the winner.
(NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship) Cody Rhodes def. Nick Aldis via pinfall to win the title
Final Grade: A++
I know, I know, an “A++” isn’t a real grade. But after seeing this match, hopefully, I can get a pass.
Cody came into the contest with all the momentum and fan support in the world. Aldis was the most hated man in the Mid-West simply because he wasn’t Cody.
Back and forth this match went. Cody was busted open early on. Shades of Dusty, blonde hair coated in blood, Cody locked in the Figure 4. Aldis focused on targeting Cody’s back several times throughout. Broken and bloody, Cody attempted to fight back only to receive a Piledriver in the middle of the ring. Nick Aldis scaled the ropes, while Brandi Rhodes covered her husband to save him from the incoming attack; only to have Aldis land on her. After a series of near-falls and reversed finishes, Cody pinned the champion to the mat with an old school roll-up to become the first ever second-generation NWA Worlds Heavyweight champion.
Chicago Street Fight: Adam Page def. Joey Janella via pinfall
Final Grade: A
If you haven’t been following Being the Elite closely, then it’s understood why most of this match seemed like random nonsense. This match was brutal. Several table spots; Burning Hammers on top of ladders; and a hotel phone Page may or may have not killed Joey Ryan with. A Rite of Passage from atop a ladder and through a table gave Page the win.
Joey Ryan, resurrected from the dead, came to the ring and beat down his would-be assassin after the match.
(ROH World Championship) Jay Lethal def. Flip Gordon via pinfall to retain
Final Grade: C+
Jay Lethal returned to his “Black Machismo” character to start off the match. Flip imitated Hulk Hogan towards the middle. Lanny Poffo accompanied Lethal to ringside. This match was the right amount of fun and goofy. Lethal won after the Lethal Injection.
Kenny Omega def. Pentagon Jr via pinfall
Final Grade: B
A first-time encounter that didn’t disappoint. Omega delivered several V-Triggers to Pentagon. Multiple Piledrivers that should’ve killed the competitors at some points were shamelessly handed out. But, as is the standard, Kenny Omega won via One Winged Angel.
After the match was over, the lights came down. Pentagon unmasked to reveal himself as Chris Jericho. Jericho then challenged Omega for his cruise ship show coming up.
Kazuchika Okada def. Marty Scurll via pinfall
Final Grade: A-
This match took a while to pick up, but it didn’t disappoint in the end. Marty broke Okada’s fingers and refused to surrender. Okada won after a pair of Rainmakers.
The Golden Elite def. Rey Fenix, Bandido, and Rey Mysterio Jr
Final Grade: C
Not necessarily a bad match. It was just restricted due to time restraints. Each man’s offense was breathtaking and gravity-defying. The Young Bucks brought the win via a Meltzer Driver. This match could’ve been traded with Omega or Cody’s match for the main event spot.
Overall All In Grade: B
This pay-per-view should be used as the template to build your card around if you ever want a successful show. Not every single match was five stars, but everyone did leave happy with the wrestling and entertainment aspects.
