INDEPENDENT
“All In” Match Card
On January 10, 2018, Cody sent out a tweet claiming he was “all in.”

— Cody Rhodes (@CodyRhodes) January 10, 2018
As fans tried to figure out what this meant exactly, more members of the then Bullet Club sent out a similar tweet.
Cody eventually announced “All In” would be an independent show funded by him and the Young Bucks, Nick and Matt Jackson. It would be a 10,000 seat show from the Sears Centre Arena in Chicago, Illinois. Since the announcement, popular independent wrestlers such as Kenny Omega, Tessa Blanchard, Rey Mysterio Jr, and even Arrow actor Stephen Amell had announced themselves as “All In.”
Tickets for the show sold out in under 30 minutes. Fite TV will broadcast the show live. Saturday, September 1, 2018, will be the day the biggest independently funded wrestling show in history will take place.
Can Cody and The Young Bucks show big name companies such as WWE that independent shows can be taken as, if not more, seriously as their globally recognized brands?
With the looks at the final match card for All In, it seems very likely.
(Zero Hour) Over the Budget Battle Royal
“Zero Hour”, All In’s pre-show, will have two matches take place. The “Over the Budget” Battle Royal will see sixteen wrestlers compete to earn a shot at Jay Lethal and the ROH World Championship later in the night. Moose, Jordynne Grace, Colt Cabana, Ethan Page, Rocky Romero, Brian Cage, Billy Gunn, Jimmy Jacobs, Marko Stunt, Brandon Cutler, and Punishment Martinez have been announced for the match. Four vacant spots are still to be filled before the show. Names such as Flip Gordon, PAC, Jerry Lawler, and even CM Punk have been rumored to fill the remaining spots.
(Zero Hour) The Briscoes vs So-Cal Uncensored
Mark and Jay Briscoe are the current ROH World Tag Team champions in their record ninth reign with the belts. So-Cal Uncensored consits of the talents of Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, and Scorpio Sky. Since Christopher Daniels will be competing against Stephen Amell later in the night, Kazarian and Sky will be competing against the Briscoes.
Madison Rayne vs Chelsea Green vs Britt Baker vs Tessa Blanchard
Tessa Blanchard is the current Impact Wrestling Knockout’s champion. Madison Rayne and Chelsea Green are former Impact Knockout’s champion as well. Britt Baker has won championships in WrestleCircus and Monster Factory Pro-Wrestling.
Stephen Amell vs Christopher Daniels
Christopher Daniels is a former champion in Impact Wrestling and Ring of Honor. He has held such accomplishments as ROH World champion, Impact Tag Team champion, and ROH’s first Grand Slam champion. Stephen Amell, known for his lead roll in the CW’s hit television show Arrow, is an unofficial member of the Bullet Club and The Elite.
Chicago Street Fight: “The Bad Boy” Joey Janela vs “Hangman” Adam Page
This match will surely be an entertaining spectacle. With the stipulation, named after the city the venue is in, this contest could be a brutal, “slobber-knocker”, spot fest that’ll keep fans on their toes.
Kazuchika Okada vs Marty Scurll
Since losing his IWGP Heavyweight championship to Kenny Omega, Okada has been acting strangely as of late. He has dyed his hair and started entering the arena with balloons. Marty Scurll, nicknamed “The Villian”, will be looking to destroy the former world champion.
ROH World Championship: Jay Lethal vs Winner of Over the Budget Battle Royal
NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship: Nick Aldis (c) vs Cody Rhodes
Nick Aldis won the NWA Worlds Heavyweight championship on December 7, 2017. Cody Rhodes challenged Aldis to a match a few months ago for the All In main event. Aldis accepted the challenge after Rhodes’ match with Jay Lethal. If Cody were to win, he and his father Dusty would be the first father/son duo to win the championship.
Kenny Omega vs Pentagon Jr
This match can be described as a fantasy for Dave Meltzer. Kenny Omega is the current IWGP World Heavyweight championship. Pentagon Jr is worldly recognized in AAA, Lucha Underground, and recently Impact Wrestling.
The Young Bucks & Kota Ibushi vs Rey Mysterio Jr, Fenix, and Bandido
This match, possibly the main event, should have non-stop, high flying, jaw dropping, athletic action because of all six men’s insane in-ring ability. Matt and Nick Jackson are former tag champions in nearly every promotion they’ve been in. Kota Ibushi usually teams with Kenny Omega. The team of masked Luchadores should bring a broader sense of high flying insanity to the match.
