Why John Wall Is The Best Point Guard In The East
John Wall has had years of frustration with analysts saying he’s the best point guard in the Eastern Conference, but those seasons ended with disappointments. First and second round exits have haunted Wall and the Washington Wizards for years. It could be the reason why he doesn’t receive the respect he demands.
If he wants to earn full respect for being the best Point guard in the East, he’s going to have to rise his level of play. Analysts have pointed out when given the ball, he couldn’t make that big time shot. Well for the first time ever in Wall’s career, he was given the ball during a crucial time of the game once again. With 7.7 seconds left, Wall connected on a three point shot to give his team the lead and ultimately the win to force a game seven.
Health of John Wall
If the Wizards want to take that next step to being a championship contender, the first thing they will need is Wall to be healthy. On September 28th, 2012, he missed 33 games due to a non-traumatic knee injury during the preseason. The Wizards started 5-28 during that stretch.
On May 3rd, 2015 during the Eastern Conference semi-finals against the Atlanta Hawks, he injured his left wrist and hand. He was ultimately diagnosed with five non-displaced fractures in his left wrist/hand and missed 3 games during the series. So far in his career, he has had a total of 6 knee injuries that has sidelined him.
Can John Wall ecsape serious injuries
The answer is yes he can. If Wall does the appropriate workouts during the offseason and prepares his body the right way, he’ll be fine. Sure, freak accidents happen or once you injure a body part it can happen again. However, it’s all about how you take care of your body after the injury.
