Why Kelly Oubre Gets a Deal
Kelly Oubre, drafted 15th overall in the 1st round by the Atlanta Hawks, but was sent to the Wizards in the 2015-2016 season, will make around 2 million. The Washington Wizards know he is gonna be a project and that it would take a while for him to develop into a possible starter. He’s not a starter at the moment, but he will possibly get a chance to do so this year. During the 2017 season, Oubre became an asset coming off the bench providing much needed defensive stops against their opponents.
Why Kelly Oubre Doesn’t Get a Deal
There are a few reasons why Kelly Oubre isn’t a Washington uniform next year. The first thing that takes Kelly out of a Washington uniform is an offer Washington can’t refuse to take. The trade deadline set for February 7th, 2019 at 3 pm during the 2018-2019 season where will Kelly Oubre land if he isn’t in a Wizards uniform. There will be plenty of teams looking for defensive help. If the Wizards can trade Oubre for a great asset in return will Washington pull the trigger?
Kelly Oubre and What He is Worth in Return
If Washington is in the playoff picture it will be hard to pull the trigger. Washington hasn’t pulled the trigger to make a deep run in the east, but with Lebron James’s departure and hearing that Kyrie Irving already expressing his interest in wanting out of Boston the time is now for the Wizards. It’s do or die. For such a long time fans have said Ernie Grunfeld doesn’t do enough to make the team better. Will he pull the trigger this time around on Kelly Oubre or will he remain the same GM has been.
