The New York Giants and All-Pro wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. agreed on a mega-extension that makes Beckham the highest paid WR in the league. The Giants and Beckham had been in discussion throughout training camp. Beckham will become the highest paid WR in NFL history at $19 million per year.

The full details of the contract are five-years/$95 million with $65 million guaranteed. All of the monetary numbers are records at his respective position. With this deal, the Giants have locked up Beckham for the next five years and have Saquon Barkley on the roster for the next five years.

Outlook For Giants

The Giants have now locked up their best skill position player and look to contend for a division title. With a core of Saquon Barkley, Odell Beckham Jr., Sterling Shepard, and Evan Engram the Giants look to be a very dangerous team.

The only thing holding back the Giants is their aging quarterback Eli Manning. Manning has not been the prolific quarterback he once was in recent years. Beckham will line up across from Sterling Shepard who has developed quickly in the last few years and has become a legitimate threat across from OBJ.

Engram had one of the most prolific seasons for a rookie tight end in recent memory. Saquon Barkley was also drafted by the Giants number two overall and will be a big part of their offense.
