Premier League: City Hit Six Past Huddersfield

Sergio “Kun” Aguero hits hat-trick. In addition, Manchester City gets help from Gabriel de Jesus, David Silva and an own goal from Terrence Kongolo.

Aguero registered his 13th hat-trick for City. However, the reigning Premier League champions showed they were not missing Kevin De Bruyne in a 6-1 thrashing of Huddersfield Town.

The opener came in the 25th minute from Aguero. He chipped the ball past Ben Hamer after a 70-yard pass from goalkeeper Ederson.

Jesus doubled the lead six minutes later after excellent work by Benjamin Mendy.

The third goal came after a teasing cross from Mendy. The ball was mishandled by Hamer only for Aguero to react first and score his second.

Huddersfield pulled one back just before the break as Stankovic capitalized when Steve Mounie flicked on a long throw.

Silva scored a cracking free kick with Hamer rooted to the spot to restore the three-goal lead three minutes after the restart.

An Aguero hat-trick looked certain. And it came after a marvelous cross from Mendy was struck by Aguero from the outside of his foot into the back of the net.

Leroy Sane was involved in City’s final goal when his shot was saved by Hamer but went in courtesy off Kongolo.

Man City face a trip to Wolves next weekend, while Huddersfield takes on Cardiff City at home.
