WWE
WWE has sad news, due to losing another WWE Superstar. Masa Saito passed away on Saturday at the age of 76. He had complications with Parkinson’s disease. Saito was diagnosed in 2000.
Masa Saito Wrestling History
Saito was a former World Tag Team Champion, and AWA Champion. His career in grappling began with freestyle amateur wrestling; and had the chance to represent his country Japan, in the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. In 1965, he had a punishing style in-ring style that made him a fierce competitor in both Japan and the United States. Saito competed in Alabama, California, and Florida claiming championships; before making a debut in the WWE in 1981.
Saito joined forces with Mr. Fuji, and Captain Lou Albano. The two captured the World Tag Team Championship on two different times. He competed in WCW up to his retirement in 1999.
WWE sends their condolences to his family, in this difficult time. I send my prayers and thoughts as well. Masa Saito, you will be missed by many but will be remembered with all your great accomplishments; in your wrestling career.
