Philadelphia 76ers GM Pursuit Narrows
Philadelphia 76ers GM pursuit narrows, as their options are closing. There was the issue involving former GM Bryan Colangelo who was linked to a fake Twitter account. The account had been created by Colangelo’s wife Barbara Bottini, who used the account to leak out sensitive 76ers information.
The investigation led to Colangelo resigning from his general manager position. It eventually led the Seventy-Sixers to actively pursue another general manager. Houston’s Daryl Morey was the primary candidate that the Sixers would go after. But Daryl Morey would not accept Philadelphia’s GM position.

Philadelphia Suffers Another Loss
And the hits just keep coming for the 76ers. Daryl Morey decided to remain with the Houston Rockets. This was another loss that just didn’t help strengthen the franchise’s front office. Morey had been recently named “NBA Executive Of The Year”. Morey has been with the Rockets for the past 12 NBA seasons.
Philadelphia lost out in the pursuit of Morey. There aren’t many GM’s available in the market. Daryl Morey was the best GM option in the market and Philadelphia suffers another loss. With the off-season well underway and the NBA pre-season drawing near the Seventy-Sixers are losing momentum in their GM search. Their options are slim-to-none and the 76ers might land on their faces if they can not fill the position soon.

Can Philadelphia Bounce Back
It’ll be interesting to see what Philadelphia’s next move will be. Options for a quality General Manager is shutting quickly. The Sixers need to remain focused and keep working towards other options. Because Daryl Morey will not be one of them. Can Philadelphia bounce back after suffering another GM dilemma? The probability is not looking good for them at the moment. Only time can tell what the future holds for this Sixers Franchise.
