More Future NHL Stars Chosen
NHL
Day two of the 2018 NHL Draft at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas occurred this Saturday. Prospects gathered together and with yesterday’s players already picked out, tensions were even higher in the arena.
Buffalo Sabres
Mattias Samuelsson
Samuelsson is the youngest son of Kjell, who was first drafted by the New York Rangers in 1984. Mattias is a six foot three, 217-pound defenseman from Voorhees, NJ. Mattias never got to see his father play on the ice, but with him being drafted in the 2018 NHL draft, Kjell will surely be attending many games. He moves swiftly on the ice despite his large size. He also knows how to utilizes it to his advantage within the rules.

Detriot Red Wings
Jonatan Berggren
Jonatan is a five foot ten, 181-pound right wing from Uppsala, Sweden. He may not be the biggest player, but he is talented. He is able to make plays both offensively and defensively, something that is impressive for someone his age. As a result, it will be interesting to see which side of him shines more on the ice, as he plays with other professional players.

Florida Panthers
Serron Noel
This six foot five inch, 201-pound right wing from Guelph, ON is the son of a former CFL player. Just as with most big players, Noel had his skating abilities questioned. Consequently, Noel proved everyone wrong and improved his skating skills from the 2016-17 season to the 2017-18 season. It will be interesting to see a player of his stature on the ice and how his talents will come out.

Montreal Canadiens
Jesse Ylonen
Ylonen is a six foot, 167-pound Finnish right wing. He was ranked 28th among European skaters. Jesse’s father Juha, played 341 NHL games with the Coyotes, Senators, and Lightning. His father posted 26-76-102 totals with his career in the NHL. Furthermore, Jesse posted 14-13-27 in 48 games with the Espoo club in Finland.

Detriot Red Wings
Jared Mclsaac
Jared is a six foot one, 194-pound defenseman from Nova Scotia, Canada. The hype around Mclsaac began after the Halifax Mooseheads drafted him second overall in the QMJHL Draft. Mclsaac shows, in bursts, what kind of player he can become. He’s not afraid to drive the net whenever he is given the opportunity to do so. As a result, only the future will tell if Jared will continue to gain offensive skills or stay the way he is right now.
