Micheal Porter Jr. Draft Night
The night has finally arrived, draft night where every high ranked college athlete gets a chance to make it to the professional level. However, many won’t be drafted and be sent home to keep trying. There are many people in this draft class. However, I want to focus on one specifically. That player being Micheal Porter Jr. A very high ceiling player that could be a starter on almost any team in the NBA. They can play for one team only, let’s take a look and see what kind of impact Micheal Porter Jr. can make on the teams he is drafted too.
Micheal Porter Jr. Selected In The 1st Round By The Denver Nuggets
Height: 6-10
Weight-215
Position- Forward
College- Missouri
Porter is the type of player that can do a lot of things on the court. Described as a five-tool player who can do just about anything on the court. And would be projected to go higher on draft night if it wasn’t for all the injuries he sustained. Playing only one year at the University of Missouri, I guess you could say he’s the Mitchell Trubisky of the 2018 NBA Draft. Drafted in the 1st round by The Denver Nuggets.
What Kind Of Impact Will Micheal Porter Jr. Have?
Known for his shooting, Micheal Porter can bring an element to The Nuggets that haven’t had since Carmelo Anthon left the team. Especially on a team that can drive in the paint as Denver can. Porter should be able to create room outside the arch to give them a different kind of attack. His ability with the fast break will also help the Nuggets in the long run as well. Porter without injury is easily the best player in the draft. This kid has a lot of upsides, and I’m excited to see what he can do.
