World Cup 2018: Sweden vs Korea Republic Preview
Nizhny Novgorod, Russia – Sweden and Korea Republic kick off their World Cup campaigns when they go head-to-head for Group F. Sweden are back at a World Cup since 2006 in Germany. On the other hand, Korea returns after an unsuccessful campaign in Brazil 2014.
Team Forms:
Sweden have a fully fit squad against Korea. However, they have only managed to score one goal in their last four games and none in their past three matches. Korea is looking forward to a better campaign in this World Cup while being led by midfielder Ki Sung-yuend and Tottenham star Son Heung-min.
The downside for the Swedish is that their legendary player Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not in the squad after deciding to retire from international football following Euro 2016. The high-profile forward did taunt with coming out of retirement to play at the World Cup. However, the Swedish Football Federation did not agreed despite the 36-year-old’s great shape and form.

Match Predictions:
With Mexico being at the top of the Group F, Sweden and Korea will look into managing a win or perhaps a draw to put themselves in a position of success against Germany. However, Korea will be relying most of its success on Heung-min while Sweden may focus their efforts on their defensive side. Nevertheless, unlike in other sports, you must score in football in order to win a World Cup.
