ROH Issues a Statement Following Taeler Hendrix Allegations

As a huge fan of the fiery redhead from Ring of Honor, I’ve been carefully following her story. She’s been nothing but a sweetheart in her online interactions with me, and I often tag WWE to include her in their Mae Young Classic. So I was extremely shocked when Taeler Hendrix recently took to her Twitter account to call out current World Champion, Jay Lethal. She has made it very clear that she was taken off from TV because she refused to sleep with Jay. Here’s a few things from her account:

Meanwhile, Ring of Honor has released a statement in regards to the allegations made against Jay Lethal:

“We were troubled to hear the allegations that surfaced last night on Twitter. We take these matters very seriously and will be investigating this matter thoroughly, reviewing all evidence related to the matter. Ring of Honor strives to provide an environment and workplace where male and female wrestlers are free from any misconduct or abuse.”

Two Sides to the Story

These are extremely serious accusations against Jay, and in fact, Taeler has even supplied a YouTube clip where a second person accusing him has come forward:

Of course, there are some skeptics out there. A few comments I’ve read through point out that Taeler is frustrated she isn’t being used, and willing to point the blame at Jay. They say that she believes she is a big star, but is “hardly a blip on the radar.” Additionally, someone else says she mocked Jay Lethal publicly for not having any special qualities aside from his relationship with former WWE Superstar, AJ Lee.

And although I can certainly see the flip side of the coin, until the investigation is finished up, we cannot…I repeat, CANNOT assume. After all, the WWE shot themselves in the foot firing former Superstar, Enzo Amore, before knowing the full story. Yet, assuming that Taeler is fabricating anything is also unfair. Sexual harassment and assault is no joke, and should not be taken lightly.

In the meantime, we hope that ROH is able to come up with a conclusion and take the necessary steps to resolve the issue.
