AJ Hinch Named Tigers Manager

AJ Hinch has been named the next manager of the Detroit Tigers. Hinch recently served as manager for the Houston Astros and was suspended last season for his role in the Astros cheating scandal. After waiting out his suspension, it was unclear if any team would be willing to hire him. He will look to look past the sign-stealing scandal and help the rebuild in Detroit. Hinch had no confirmed role in the scandal, however, he claimed that he knew about it but failed to stop it.

Hinch will replace Ron Gardenhire who retired late this season.

What Does Hinch Bring To Detroit?

Hinch is just what the Tigers need. Despite personal opinions on the Astros cheating, Hinch was at the helm of two AL pennants and the first World Series title in the history of the Houston Astros. Hinch led the Astros to the postseason in all but one of his five seasons there. Though he has a younger managerial career, Hinch is the right man to lead the Tigers as they continue their rebuilding process. With the Tigers farm system starting to grow stronger, the future is slowly but surely starting to turn around. The Tigers will look at Hinch to replicate all of his success with the Astros.
