Dodgers Take Game Three Of World Series
The Dodgers took game three of the World Series by a final score of 6-2. The Dodgers offense had a nice bounce-back night from game two and Walker Buehler was dominant against the Rays lineup. Buehler finished the night with six innings allowing one run on three hits with 10 strikeouts. For the Rays, Charlie Morton struggled as he pitched just 4 and 1/3 innings allowing five runs on seven hits with six strikeouts. Tampa will go with a bullpen game with hopes to even the series in game four.
Game Recap
The Dodgers wasted no time getting the offense going. In the first, Justin Turner would add yet another postseason hit with a solo shot to give the Dodgers a 1-0 lead. Max Muncy would add two more runs in the third thanks to a two-run single. Mookie Betts would another RBI single, however, the story of the night on offense was Austin Barnes. After a near-perfect safety squeeze to plate a run in the fourth, Barnes would add a solo shot of his own in the sixth to seal up a Dodgers game three win.
For Tampa, Walker Buehler held them quiet much of the night. Willy Adames got the Dodgers on the board with an RBI double in the fifth. The Rays offense would stay quiet again until the ninth. Randy Arozarena hit yet another home run. His solo shot in the ninth was his eighth homer of the postseason, tied for most all-time in a postseason.
What To Expect In Game Four
In game four, expect the same from the Dodgers. Expect the offense to be aggressive early and be aggressive on the base paths. For Tampa Bay, they need a bounce-back game like the Dodgers had in game three. Their bullpen in game four will need to step up to give them a chance to even the series again.
