Brewers Look to Force Game 7 with Win Tonight
After dropping the last two games of the series, the Brewers will look for a bounce-back win tonight against the Dodgers. A win tonight will force a Game 7 tomorrow to see who will play the Boston Red Sox in the World Series. The Brewers are sending Wade Miley to the mound to take on Hyun-Jin Ryu and the Dodgers. In his first postseason, Miley has a 10 1/3 inning scoreless streak spanning the NLDS and NLCS. Ryu started Game 2 of the series for the Dodgers. He gave up two runs on six hits over 4 1/3 innings pitched against the Brewers. Game 6 can be seen tonight at 8:39 pm EST on FS1.
Crew Looks to Get Yelich Back On Track
One of the biggest offensive threats for the Brewers has not had the postseason anyone expected. In the series, the MVP-candidate is hitting just .150 with no homers or RBIs. Overall in the postseason, Chrisitan Yelich is batting .179 with one homer and two RBIs. If the Brewers stand any chance of winning tonight and clinching the series tomorrow, they are going to need Yelich’s bat to heat up quickly. Yelich has been a .324 hitter at home this year and will to get the Brewers back even in the series.
Bullpen Looks to Hold In-Tact for Rest of Series
The Brewers bullpen has been taxed greatly this postseason. It is no secret to anyone that the Brewers are trying to use their greatest strength to their advantage. One thing that Craig Counsell has managed to do well is managing his bullpen. Coming off a day-off, the Brewers bullpen is fresh and will look to hold their dominance over opposing hitters. They’ll look for another strong outing from Wade Miley and will look to close the door and force a Game 7.
