Chacin Gives Dominant Start and Game 3 Win to Crew

After a dominant start Jhoulys Chacin, the Brewers offense was able to score and give the Brewers a Game 3 win. The Brewers are now up two games to one in the series overall. Chacin set the tone for the Brewers with his outing. Chacin went 5 1/3 shutout innings, allowing three hits, two walks, and also had six strikeouts. He provided much-needed depth to help rest/limit key pieces in their bullpen. On the Dodgers side, Walker Buehler went seven solid innings. Buehler allowed four runs on five hits, one walk, and struck out eight Brewers. The Brewers will look to add pressure to the Dodgers with a Game 4 win tonight.

Game Recap

The Brewers offense got started quickly with a run in the first inning. After a Christian Yelich walk, Ryan Braun doubled him home to give the Brewers a quick 1-0 lead. In the sixth inning, Travis Shaw hit a triple and later scored on a wild pitch from Buehler. With the Dodgers still struggling to score runs, Orlando Arcia put the icing on the cake in the Brewers win with a two-run shot to right field. The Brewers went to Jeremy Jeffress in the ninth. After a shaky start, Jeffress settled in, and he closed the door on a Brewers 4-0 win over the Dodgers.

Arcia Continues to Prove He Belongs

One of the key offensive producers this postseason has been shortstop Orlando Arcia. Last night, Arcia belted his third home run of the postseason, and second of the LCS. Arcia’s spectacular defense was not enough mid-season to keep him in the MLB. In the span of a six week period, Arcia was sent to Triple-A twice by the Brewers. Thought of as one of the least productive on offense, Arcia has matched his 2018 home run total already in the postseason. Arcia made adjustments in Triple-A that propelled him to earn a spot on the Brewers postseason roster. Continue to watch as Arcia produces runs for the Brewers the rest of the way.
