Week 0 College Football Predictions
You read that right, folks! College football is back and we can finally watch our favorite teams go undefeated and finally see our favorite player win the Heisman…sort of. Officially, college football starts August 25th, but the bigger programs won’t be making an appearance until next week (September 1st). Still, you can use this weekend as a tune up to get ready for the best time of the year. Here are some week 0 college football predictions to give us a taste of what we have all been waiting for since January.
Rice vs Prairie View A&M
Rice won one game last season before losing 10 straight. New Head Coach Mike Bloomgren comes in to inject some new blood into the Rice football program. Prairie View A&M is coming off of a 6-5 season and also has a new coach in Eric Dooley. I see Rice breaking the streak and the Prairie View A&M University Marching Band putting on a good half time show.
Rice 35 Prairie View A&M 24
UMass vs Duquesne
This UMass sqaud is looking to become bowl eligible since making the jump to FBS in 2012. UMass is a stingy team that if you let hang around might steal the victory. Duquesne is a competitive FCS team, but UMass is on a mission to send the Dukes home with an L and start their march toward bowl eligibility.
UMass 42 Duquesne 20
Colorado State vs Hawaii
Fort Collins is ready to go for tomorrow’s Colorado State-Hawaii game. Colorado State is coming off of a solid 7-6 campaign that led them to a bowl game. Hawaii is coming off a disappointing 3-9 season. Nothing to see here, folks. Use this time to experiment on the grill as Colorado State wins convincingly.
Colorado State 35 Hawaii 17
Wyoming vs New Mexico State
Big sky country meets the southwestern desert. Wyoming and New Mexico State are coming off some good seasons where both made and won their bowl game. The Cowboys and Aggies duel it out until the fourth quarter where Wyoming’s defense takes over and seals the victory.
Wyoming 27 New Mexico State 20
Closing thoughts
