National Finals
To all the college football fans in the world, I got one question for you. Are you ready for college football to restart? Only 34 more days, and we can go back to screaming, and cheering on our favorite teams. Last year, we saw the Georgia Bulldogs vs Oklahoma Sooners in the Rose Bowl, while the Clemson Tigers took on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl. Bulldogs became successful and gained a win over Oklahoma. The Crimson Tide rolled over the Tigers, and headed to Atlanta, Georgia to take on the bulldogs for the National title! Who was successful you may ask? Let’s take a look into some of the scoop, and recaps from the event before and after, before the National Finals of College Football.
Clemson Tigers
The Tigers failed to win back in January, to get another chance at the National title. They managed to top off Alabama in 2016, to claim their second national championship. It was the first one since 1981. Clemson’s Head Coach Dabo Swinney has a 101-30 win record since he has been with the Tigers, 10 seasons. How far will we see Kelly Bryant and the Tigers of Clemson, South Carolina go this year? Will the Tigers fight their way back to the finals?
Georgia Bulldogs
In 2017, it came down to Bulldogs to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide. However, Kirby Smart and his bulldogs came up short, in double overtime. Georgia has only won two national championships, one in 1942 and one in 1980. It is safe to say they need another win for the nationals. Perhaps they will regain another one this up coming season. Will Jacob Fromm be able to take them to victory? Maybe another quarterback in the process? As the season approaches, we will see the outcomes.
Oklahoma Sooners
The Sooners had an impressive season. They came up short against Georgia, making them unable to take on Alabama in the National Championship game. The Sooners have had 7 National Championships, and are looking for another to add to their record. Could we see it this year? Will Kyler Murray be the quarterback? How far will Head Coach Lincoln Riley be able to take Sooners? Or will we see the Sooners fall short again?
And that leads us to:
Alabama Crimson Tide
The Alabama Crimson Tide is led by their Head Coach Nick Saban. Alabama has won 17 National Championships. The 17th became in 2017, when the Tide rolled all over the Georgia Bulldogs and won the championship in double overtime. It was a game that had you on the edge of your seat, and non stop heart beating! The Tide needed a comeback, after losing to the Clemson Tigers, in 2016, when it was the Tigers claiming the National title. Currently there are two quarterbacks heading into fall camp. We are not sure which one will become successful.
Let’s Talk College Football
Do you think we will see another Alabama win, and perhaps become 18 time champs? We could even maybe see another Clemson win. As much as reality hurts, we might even see the most unexpected team ever to win. As a sports fan, we all have seen it. Non-ranked or smaller schools seem to upset the top college teams at times. It’s all about the game, and it keeps us watching. Will these four teams be successful again? What team is your favorite to root for?
