Look Ahead at NLCS Game 2

Last night’s win for the Brewers turned from dominant, to nervous, to oh my god please just end all the baseball forever. And now with a quick day game turnaround for NLCS Game 2, the Brew Crew look to keep that adrenaline going. Hoping to take a 2-0 lead back to Los Angeles. While the Dodgers hope they can come away with a huge Game 2 win and split the series heading home.

The Brewers will tap lefty Wade Miley. In the regular season, Miley went 5-2 with a 2.57 ERA. But he will be coming off his last start on October 7th where he was lights out against a powerful Rockies line up. Turning in 4.2 Innings of three-hit ball.

The Dodgers Side

The Dodgers will counter with a lefty of their own, Hyun-Jin Ryu. During the regular season, Ryu turned in a 7-3 record with a 1.97 ERA. He’ll be coming off his latest postseason start against the Braves where he was also very lights out. Going 7 strong innings with only 4 hits and no runs.

It will be interesting to see how Craig Counsell decides to run with his bullpen tonight after such heavy use in Game 1. With Gio Gonzalez only lasting 2 innings, Counsell was forced to use 6 of his relievers, including his main weapon Josh Hader for 3 innings. Hader is now not available today, but the skipper said everyone else will be available. You know the Brewers will be hoping for at least 5+ from Miley today.

The Dodgers will be looking for a big bounce-back game. And after his poor performance in Game 1, Grandal will be sat down today for Game 2. Austin Barnes will be in the squat or Ryu and the Dodgers. Also, Yasiel Puig is back in the lineup and playing in Right Field today.

Game 2 will be a pretty important one. The Brewers now know they can win close games in October. And the Dodgers know they can fight back and get to the Brewers pitching. With that said, we should be in for a treat on Saturday afternoon.
