ESPN Announces Coverage Times For Special Olympics games
To me, one of the greatest things I have ever been able to witness in all of sports is giving people with mental/developmental disabilities a chance to show off their Athleticism. It’s a time where everyone who spectates comes together to cheer on these individuals. Hosting the Special Olympic games is Kevin Negandhi an anchor on SportsCenter and does College Football on ABC. The Opening Ceremony will take place at Husky Stadium and nightly programs throughout the 2018 games.
The Ceremony will be hosted by Actor Taye Diggs, and will also include performances from artists such as; Marshmello, Allen Stone, Ann Wilson and more. There will also be multiple speakers at the Special Olympic games Washington Governor Jay Inslee, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Special Olympics chairman Tim Shriver. Many people that help put together the Special Olympics games think this will be an excellent way to bring all types of sports fans together.

It sure will be a full week of excitement and top of the line competition. Special Olympics will also be celebrating their 50th anniversary of when it was first founded. ESPN has been a big part in the development of The Special Olympic games. Donating over $2 Million in cash. With the goal of building unified sports programs reaching 10,000 schools across America. It’s good to see major companies make such an investment into such a great cause. I can’t wait to see what the Special Olympic games have in store for us.
