RICHMOND, Va. – Josh Williams and Papa John’s paired up to deliver pizza to NASCAR Xfinity Series officials and media before Saturday’s race at Richmond Raceway.

Williams is returning from a one-race suspension he received after parking his car on the start-finish line of Atlanta Motor Speedway after NASCAR officials told him to take it to the garage. After the incident, Williams sat for about four hours in the series hauler as officials had him wait for Xfinity Series Managing Director Wayne Auton.

During his time in the series hauler, Josh said he ate pizza and watched the race.

“We were talking about having Papa John’s over in the (series) hauler at Atlanta when I was in detention for four hours,” Williams said. “So we got with these guys and we figured we’d return the favor.”

On the suspension from COTA, Williams said “it gave me time to perfect my pizza-making skills.”
