Bubba Wallace Suspended One Race for Intentionally Crashing Kyle Larson
Announced Tuesday evening, NASCAR has suspended Bubba Wallace for this weekend’s race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Wallace’s No. 45 Toyota was involved in a retaliatory wreck last Sunday at Las Vegas, where he spun Kyle Larson into the outside wall. This incident immediately followed Larson running Wallace wide into the turn four wall, and also ended the race for Playoff driver Christopher Bell.
Wallace was listed as violating NASCAR rulebook Sections 4.3.A, 4.4.C and E. These guidelines refer to “Intentionally wrecking or spinning another vehicle, whether or not that vehicle is removed from Competition as a result.”

After both instances of contact, Wallace exited his wrecked car and walked over to Larson. Wallace then proceeded to shove Larson several times, showing great displeasure with how he was raced.

There will be no further fallout from this sequence of events at Las Vegas. Neither Wallace or 23XI Racing face any monetary or points deductions from NASCAR.
John Hunter Nemechek will substitute drive the 23XI Racing No. 45 Toyota at Homestead. The team confirmed this in a Twitter statement Tuesday evening.
