Roman Reigns to Kick Off Monday Night RAW?
Current Smackdown Live Superstar Roman Reigns seems to have his sights set to return to Monday Night Raw this week; as “The Big Dog” made the announcement via Twitter yesterday.
I’m back on #SDLive, but I still have some business on #Raw.
I’ll see y’all Monday. #ProtectTheYard— Roman Reigns (@WWERomanReigns) May 4, 2019
The WWE was quick to rebut Reigns’ claim by stating that WWE officials learned of Reigns’ “desire to appear on Monday Night Raw” and claimed that “due to his obligations as a Smackdown Live Superstar” he was not going to show.
Needless to say, Reigns responded, telling them to have his music ready.
?? Just have my music ready.
I’ll be kicking things off on #Raw right at 8pm. https://t.co/DJsTczTKAF— Roman Reigns (@WWERomanReigns) May 5, 2019
This comes off the heels of this week’s lowest ratings in the history of WWE television; as RAW drew 2.158 million viewers, while SD Live drew 1.833 million. The lowest non-holiday ratings for both shows’ history.
In the lead up to the upcoming “Money in the Bank“ event, WWE postponed Monday’s SmackDown Live event that was scheduled to happen in Corbin, Kentucky. Reigns isn’t likely to be the only SmackDown Live Superstar to make an appearance on Monday.
