O’Reilly Series Atlanta Marathon Gives Justin Allgaier Record-Setting Win

HAMPTON, Ga. – Saturday’s O’Reilly Series slugfest from Atlanta’s EchoPark Speedway was a doozy to put it bluntly. Justin Allgaier was the man left standing in victory lane after a nearly four-hour long affair ended in double overtime with half the field wrecked out. Allgaier’s No. 7 took a personal record sixth win of the season and clinched top seeding for the Chase.

Allgaier made it a clean JR Motorsports sweep of both Stages in Stage 2, after Carson Kvapil won the opening segment. Stage 3 turned this race on its head, featuring four different red flags for heavy wreck cleanup. 12 laps left saw a four-wide move by Jordan Anderson transform turn one into a junkyard of wrecked cars. Five-time Atlanta winner Austin Hill lost it on his own a few laps later, taking many out with him.

With very few cars left, overtime restart number two saw Carson Kvapil and defending Atlanta summer winner Nick Sanchez lead into turn one. As the green flag waved Ryan Sieg ran out of fuel, stranding the outside lane. At the white flag, Brennan Poole was clear out front thanks to a monster push from Allgaier. Poole and Sanchez made contact in turn one, parting the way for Allgaier to retake command. The No. 7 motored onto victory lane despite sparks flying from earlier crash damage, continuing his electric 2026 campaign.

“Right here this team, I’m so proud of everyone here at JR Motorsports,’’ Allgaier said. “We had four, actually five, great Chevrolets today. I knew at the end, there would be some guys close on fuel. You just never give up. That’s what this team is all about.”

“I wish my wife and kids were here but they’re not. … You fans? It was electric. I didn’t know what was gonna happen at the end of the race there, and it came down to one. Man, God is good all the time. Just everybody that’s a part of this organization. It’s been a rough week. My motorhome blew a tire and crashed, and I’m glad that my driver’s alright. We’ve had all kinds of stuff going this week, so this makes it a little sweeter.”

Kvapil just beat Parker Retzlaff to the checkers behind Allgaier, just outlasting William Sawalich and Anthony Alfredo. The rest of Atlanta’s top-10 were: Garrett Smithley, Brandon Jones, Kyle Sieg, Rajah Caruth, and Jeremy Clements.

Now assuredly the 2026 regular season champion, Justin Allgaier’s insurmountable points lead is now 240 over Jesse Love. The rest of the field is racing for the number two seed when The Chase starts in five races.

The next stop for O’Reilly Series teams will be Indianapolis Motor Speedway in two weeks. The Brickyard will go green on Saturday, July 25 at 4 p.m. ET on The CW, the IMS Radio Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
