Grant Enfinger Takes Maiden Road Course Win at Lime Rock Park
LAKEVILLE, Conn. – In a finish few could have foreseen, Grant Enfinger was in the right position on a late restart at Lime Rock Park. The Truck Series veteran picks up his first win in over a year, outlasting Landen Lewis and a hard charging Kaden Honeycutt. For its second standalone Truck outing, the famed Connecticut circuit delivered a memorable and mad dash to the checkered flag.
Top two in points Layne Riggs and Kaden Honeycutt were the class of the field early on. The championship rivals split the opening stages between themselves, and combined to lead the first 62 laps. The top duo would only be set back after colliding with a spinning Stewart Friesen to start Stage 3. Both contending trucks suffered damage here too insurmountable to put up winning threats again.

This exchange handed the lead to Gio Ruggiero, who had preferred position on a restart with three laps left. When the green flag fell though, it was Enfinger’s No. 9 that got the jump over Ruggerio’s 17. He held serve the rest of the way to victory lane.
“I feel like we had some things play into our hand,” Enfinger said. “Don’t think we had anything for the 11 [Honeycutt] or the 34 [Layne Riggs] straight up. I wanted to beat [Ruggiero] straight up on the outside. A lot went into that decision but I didn’t want to go in there and purposefully take him out of the way for the win. I feel like we beat him on the launch. And I think we had a better car.”
“Just an amazing job with this Chevrolet. I think this is only my second top 10 at a road course. We have had good road course trucks this year, but I think today we were a solid top-five truck and the seas parted and the good Lord blessed us today and we were able to come home for a win.”
Enfinger’s win comes in clutch fashion for a possible Chase showing. This breakthrough triumph vaults driver 9 up to ninth in the championship fight. The CR7 Motorsports team is now 42 points above the cut line with four races left until the Chase cutoff. Riggs and Honeycutt, meanwhile, both clinched Chase berths after Lime Rock.

Enfinger cruised to the finish just ahead of young Landen Lewis and Kaden Honeycutt, followed by partial Lime Rock Park owner Parker Kligerman and Christian Eckes. The rest of the top-10 were: Daniel Hemric, Andres Perez de Lara, Tanner Gray, Stewart Friesen, and IMSA driver Colin Braun.
From a road course to a bullring, Truckers will be back in action Saturday from North Wilkesboro Speedway. The Faith Fest 250 goes green at 12:30 p.m. ET on FS1, NRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. 2026 marks the fourth-straight year of Trucks racing on these hallowed grounds, with Chandler Smith as the defending winner.
