Several NASCAR stars will be ‘arrested’ to raise scholarship money
CORNELIUS, N.C. – Coming soon, NASCAR drivers will trade in their helmets for handcuffs at the 4th Annual Jail & Bail Charity Event. Taking place Wednesday, October 22 at Boatyard Lake Norman in Cornelius, NC, doors will open at 5:00 p.m. The evening will be headlined by a special performance by 20 RIDE, America’s #1 Zac Brown tribute band. Tickets can be purchased now at TechForce.org/JailBail.
The Jail & Bail event will see proceeds go towards the Brienne Davis Memorial Scholarship. This fund was created to honor trailblazing NASCAR Technical Inspector Brienne Davis. Davis’ journey as a NASCAR official began in 2004 and lasted until her untimely passing in a 2008 car accident.
The scholarship founded in her honor provides necessary financial support for women chasing technical careers in the motorsports/automotive industry. Both of these fields are vastly underrepresented by women employees. Dating back to its establishment, these $10,000 scholarships have helped 50 women earn vital training to enter the industry. The Jail & Bail aspires to assist another 50 women applicants achieve their career goals.
NASCAR drivers appearing as this year’s “jailbirds” include: Ryan Blaney, Alex Bowman, Joey Logano, Michael McDowell, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and several more. They will all compete amongst each other to ‘raise their bail money’ for scholarships. They will then face off before Judge Larry McReynolds (‘America’s Crew Chief’) with Mamba Smith also serving as the event’s Chief Hype Officer. Veteran racing television and radio host Danielle Trotta will also emcee.
Sponsors backing 2025’s event are: 23XI Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, Team Penske, Rush Truck Centers, Joe Gibbs Racing, JR Motorsports, and Trackhouse Racing.
“Jail & Bail is more than a fundraiser—it’s an investment in the next generation of technicians,” said Jennifer Bergeron, Chief Operating Officer of TechForce Foundation. “Brienne Davis opened doors for women in motorsports, and this scholarship continues her legacy. TechForce Foundation is proud to help women secure the resources and confidence to pursue technical careers.”
Tickets are available now at TechForce.org/JailBail. The first 100 tickets are available at an exclusive price of $50. All remaining tickets will be $80 in advance and $100 at the door. Fans can also donate to ‘bail out’ their favorite driver by texting NASCAR2025 to 71777.
