King of the Road Corey Heim Leads 99 of 100 Laps Around Lime Rock Park

LAKEVILLE, Conn. – The maiden run for Craftsman Truck Series competitors at Connecticut’s famed Lime Rock Park was a history-making afternoon. The first Truck race in the New England state steeped in racing lore, the best class had perhaps his best showing yet. From pole, Corey Heim took off early and hardly ever looked back. If not for a late restart, he would have led wire-to-wire. Instead, the TRICON Garage No. 11 has to settle for 99 laps out front in his fifth win of 2025.

Thanks to non-competitive pit stops, Heim was well in command for both stages and took both flags with ease. No on-track incident would trigger any caution, until the final 10 laps. Matt Mills going off course led to a pivotal restart with five laps left.

A push on the restart saw Layne Riggs narrowly edge ahead at the line, keeping the wire-to-wire leader title away from Heim. The TRICON Toyota did soon retake command, however, and drove off to arguably his most dominant win yet.

“It’s nothing short of incredible,” Heim said. “These road courses, I really look forward to them pre-event and prepare pretty hard for them. To see that all pay off with Safelite, TRICON, Toyota, super special. Honestly the truck was so good today, I just can’t complain one bit about that. Flawless day, we’ll take that and move forward and try to collect some wins we probably should have this year.”

Behind Heim was defending Truck champion Ty Majeski, ahead of Gio Ruggiero, Ben Rhodes, and road course ace Cam Waters. Chandler Smith, Josh Bilicki, Brent Crews, Daniel Hemric, and Tyler Ankrum rounded out the top-10.

Thanks to Lime Rock being Heim’s fifth checkered flag of the season, the Playoff bubble battle did not change much. Three spots still remain open with three races left in the regular season.

Following a bit of a break, Truckers will be back in action Friday, July 25 from Indianapolis Raceway Park. The TSport 200 will go green at 8 p.m. ET on FS1, NRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
