Corey Heim Takes 10th win of 2025 in Truck Series’ Maiden Charlotte Roval Outing
CONCORD, N.C. – From being wrecked on lap one to victory lane in overtime, it was Heim Time once again at the Charlotte Roval. Reminiscent of Chase Elliott’s comeback win here in 2019, the TRICON No. 11 rallied from this early damage and fought hard to find the front late. Thanks to a timely caution, Heim clinches win number 10 on the year, breaking the all-time Truck Series record. Along with the spoils of this victory come a Championship 4 berth in Phoenix. For a third-straight season, the Toyota driver will race for the Truck Series title.
The Roval reared it’s chaotic head early for the Truckers, with a major lap one incident taking out several heavy hitters. Third-place starter Grant Enfinger misjudged his turn one entry and got into Layne Riggs, who went onto hook polesitter Corey Heim. All three Playoff contenders were sent spinning but continued with a loss of all track position. Riggs’ No. 34 Ford suffered a broken sway bar but still toughed out a blue collar result.

This melee handed the initial lead to Heim’s teammate Brent Crews, who soon left the field in the dust. The TRICON Garage No. 1 only gave up the top spot to short pit both stages, handing a max-points effort to Kaden Honeycutt. For each successive restart, however, the 1 cycled back to the point and remained unbeaten up front. The 17-year-old ran a nearly flawless race in only his eighth start, gunning for his maiden NASCAR National Series win.
What appeared to be a banner day for the teenager was erased by a late caution. Teammate Toni Breidinger ran out of gas on track, causing an overtime restart. Heim’s beaten, battered, and bruised Toyota was one of few to not pit here. The 11 got enough of a restart jump to set sail for a record-setting 10th victory of the 2025 campaign. Perhaps bigger than any other accolade is the Championship 4 berth now bestowed upon Heim and his history-making season.
“It was not easy today,” Heim said. “I think this was probably the toughest one of the year so far. Just shows the resilience of this TRICON team. They fixed it up so good for me after that incident on the first lap. Just out of our control, and I thought we were completely done honestly. The right front folded when it hit the wall there. Just kind of out of breath here from screaming after that one, that was awesome. Just shows the resilience. Record-breaking 10 wins that’s just phenomenal, and I couldn’t do it without these guys.”
“We were certainly not as good as we were in practice and qualifying after that damage. My steering wheel was like 45 degrees to the left, and we came down pit road like six times trying to get it back to at least somewhat like it was. This group with Scott [Zipadelli] and the 11 crew, just couldn’t ask for much more. We got it close, it wasn’t quite as good but made us fight for it for sure.”
Behind Heim was a first-ever TRICON Garage 1-2-3 sweep with Brent Crews and Gio Ruggiero. They just edged out Playoff contender Rajah Caruth and Connor Zilisch. The rest of the Roval top-10 were: Josh Bilicki, Grant Enfinger, Ty Majeski, Tyler Ankrum, and Connor Mosack. Hear from a few of these drivers below.

Heim is now a lock for the Championship 4, but the points behind him are as tight as ever. The last seven drivers are in a dead-heat dogfight entering the final two Round of 8 races.

As if the Roval wasn’t crazy enough, the ultimate wildcard race is up next for the Truckers at Talladega. The Alabama green flag flies Friday, October 17 at 4 p.m. ET on FS1, NRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. The Love’s RV Stop 225 has the chance to send another contender to Phoenix, or be another driver’s career-making day.
