Rajah Caruth Earns Second Career Truck Series win at Nashville
LEBANON, Tenn. – It’s not often in sports that David beats Goliath heads up. That’s exactly what happened Friday night in the Truck Series race at Nashville Superspeedway. Corey Heim appeared on track for another dominant win amidst his blistering season. Despite the No. 11 leading 58 laps, he was bested by Rajah Caruth. The fan favorite Spire Motorsports driver is a NASCAR winner once again and will compete for another championship.
Both Stages were split between Layne Riggs and Corey Heim, with Caruth not far behind either of them in third. Following pit stops after Stage 2, Caruth’s crew got him out ahead of these contenders. A 47-lap green flag run to end this race allowed Caruth to build up enough of a lead to stay in control. The No. 71 Chevrolet took the checkered flag by five tenths of a second over Heim, denying him a fifth win of the season.
“I didn’t expect that at all—those guys were breathing down my neck the whole run,” Caruth said. “My pit crew won that race. They won the race for us, got us off pit road twice.”
“We’ve been off this year, but it was good to get it done tonight. That was a lot of fun. I asked myself, ‘How bad do you want it?’ I just tried my best, and we had clean air. Their stuff was better, but I just did my best. That was it.”
Behind the front trio of Caruth, Heim, and Riggs, Daniel Hemric and Corey Day rounded out the top-five. The rest of the top-10 were: Kaden Honeycutt, Chandler Smith, Ty Majeski, Bayley Currey, and Grant Enfinger.
Caruth is the fifth Truck Series regular to earn a victory in 2025, sealing up a Playoff berth. Nashville marked the fifth of six-straight weeks of Truck Series action, this streak will end next week at Michigan International Speedway. The DQS Solutions & Staffing 200 goes green Saturday at 12 p.m. ET on FOX, NRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
