NXT Tag Team

NXT Tag Team Champions Kyle O’ Reilly and Roderick Strong (The Undisputed Era) defended their titles against Tyler Bate & Trent Seven (The Moustache Mountain) in London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Not long ago the Undisputed Era had successfully defended their titles against the team of Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch at NXT Takeover: Chicago. But their luck ran out when they faced the Moustache Mountain; hence ending their 5-month long title reign which they won from SanitY.

But on June 20th last night, the Moustache Mountain surprised everyone including the Undisputed Era by beating them for their NXT Tag Titles. This is the first ever title reign for Tyler Bate and Trent Seven, and the match was described as an amazing match between the two teams.

Moustache Mountain Back-story…

Seven and Tyler Bate won the Progress Tag Team Championship, and the RPW Undisputed British Tag Team Championship in the UK and the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas in the United States. They also have a stable called “British Strong Style“, the third member being Pete Dunne; the current and longest reigning U.K. Champion.

Seven is a former ICW World Heavyweight Champion, and Bate is the youngest former and inaugural WWE United Kingdom Champion. On February 2018 edition of NXT; Bate successfully defended his UK title against his tag team partner Seven in the main event; they showed good sportsmanship in the end. Later he lost his championship to another teammate Pete Dunne.

Later Bate debuted on 205 Live, but was not so successful, and was defeated by then-Cruiserweight Champion ex-WWE superstar Enzo Amore. For Seven, he also had an unsuccessful No.1 contender’s qualifying match against Killian Dain.

But now all is good for the Moustache Mountain, as your NEW NXT Tag Team Champions.
