Cavani To Join Inter Miami Next Summer

David Beckham’s Inter Miami will have Edinson Cavani in their roster come next season when they enter the Major League Soccer (MLS).

The new MLS expansion team will kickoff their season in March of 2020 and Cavani will not join until late June when his contract with Paris Saint Germain ends.

Gazetta dello Sport also reports that the Uruguayan will sign a three-year contract that will keep him in the sunshine state until November, 2023.

Cavani turns 33 next year and is one of the most accomplished 9s in Europe for the last several season.

Additionally, in 537 matches with Palermo, Napoli and PSG, Cavani has racked 336 goals. Perhaps he is only second to Barcelona’s Luis Suarez for Uruguay.

Cavani To Join Inter Miami

Cavani will be joining an expansion team that will inaugurate their first season in first division in 2020.

Unfortunately, it has not been easy for Beckham’s side as he has had problems with finding a location for a new stadium.

This year, it was announced that Miami Freedom Park will be the name of the new team and will be near the Miami Airport.

The new stadium will sit 25,000 and will be a soccer specific stadium.

Inter Miami will join other expansion teams that have joined since 2014,  Orlando City, New York City FC, Atlanta United, Minnesota United, Los Angeles FC, and FC Cincinnati.
