James Rodriguez Nearing A Swap For Atleti
Despite heavy speculation that James Rodriguez would land at Napoli, Atletico Madrid have very high hopes he will join them this summer.
Additionally, Marca indicates that James would be happy with a move to Wanda Metropolitano. However, they are calling the operation rather complicated.
If they are to move forward with James, there are various factors that Los Rojiblancos will have to considering such as selling Nikola Kalinic, with a combination of selling either Vitolo and Angel Correa. Both of players of which a lot has been said regarding a possible move this summer.
For the most part, Diego “Cholo” Simeone would be delighted to bring on James to what is a new look for Los Colchoneros.
A new look that involves new acquisition, Joao Felix alongside Thomas Lemar.
Nevertheless, Los Colchoneros front men will also include veteran Diego Costa and Alvaro Morata.
James returned to Madrid this summer after a two-year loan with Bayern Munich. However, this past season he only started 13 times for the Bundesliga champions and is looking for more playing time.
The former Porto and Monaco player was a big part of Zinedine Zidane’s European title runs, winning two titles three seasons.
However, Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti is eager to bring the Colombian player to Serie A.
A return to Zidane’s lineup is merely impossible. In his last season with the French strategist, James only played in 13 games.
For some time now, the Colombian has been keen for a return to the Spanish capital. Perhaps it is not Real Madrid but it is Atleti which brings a great opportunity for what he is seeking, more playing time.
