London to Host a WrestleMania?

So, the buzz for the next WrestleMania has already gotten WWE fans, well, abuzz. WrestleMania 36 will take place on April 5th, 2020 from Raymond James Stadium, the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

WWE recently sent out a survey asking fans which cities they believed could host the event in the next few years. And according to some, this could be a good indicator of where Mania 37 could wind up.

The list consisted of over 20 cities, including London, UK; which fans from across the pond have been wishing on for years. The last true WWE PPV event that was held there was SummerSlam 1992, which was held in Wembley Stadium.

Of course, while NXT has held events there (both with the original brand and most recently with the NXT UK brand); it has never held any of the major Big 5 events after SummerSlam.

(The Big 5, for those who don’t really know to consist of WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, and Royal Rumble; with King of the Ring having been the original 5th event, and in recent years, Money in the Bank rounding out the five.)

Thanks to Heel By Nature, here is the list of cities that were in that survey:

  • Washington, DC
  • Boston, MA
  • Toronto, ON
  • Mexico City, MX
  • Phoenix-Glendale, AZ
  • Houston, TX
  • Los Angeles, CA
  • New Orleans, LA
  • Tampa, FL
  • Seattle, WA
  • San Diego, CA
  • San Francisco-Santa Clara-San Jose, CA
  • London, UK
  • Indianapolis, IN
  • Las Vegas, NV
  • Miami, FL
  • Chicago, IL
  • Philadelphia, PA
  • Atlanta, GA
  • Orlando, FL
  • Dallas-Fort Worth -Arlington, TX
  • Jacksonville, FL
  • San Antonio, TX

It is believed that WrestleMania 37 will take place at Dignity Health Sports Park; home of the Los Angeles Chargers, as it is in a good location, in Hollywood Park. But, that’s merely a rumor.

But, what do you think?

Please tell us below where you think the Showcase of the Immortals will take place after 36. And follow us on social media.
