Bobby Fish Pulled from Upcoming EVOLVE Events

It appears that NXT Superstar Bobby Fish will not appear in action on any upcoming EVOLVE events; as WWN Live made the announcement on Tuesday. Fish was set to appear on their EVOLVE 129 and 130 events; in Queens and Brooklyn, respectively.

And while Fish will be present at each event, he will only be there for the meet and greets. His Undisputed Era stablemate and tag partner, Kyle O’Reilly, will be in action in singles action; set to take on Josh Briggs at EVOLVE 130. The event will also see fellow NXT star Babatunde Aiyegbusi take on JD Drake at 130.

WWE has not released any information as to why Fish was kept off of the shows, although O’Reilly was recently kept off of the UK Download Festival; he was nursing a back injury.

Fish wrestled at last week’s NXT tapings, his partner did not, however. They are scheduled in a tag match at “Takeover: Toronto II” on August 10th; which happens on SummerSlam weekend.

Fellow UE member Roderick Strong will tag with O’Reilly on EVOLVE 129, as they will face WWN Champion JD Drake and Anthony Henry. Strong will then be in singles action on EVOLVE 130 against EVOLVE Champion Austin Theory in a non-title grudge match. Fish will be in his stablemates’ corner for both events.

Tommaso Ciampa will also be in attendance for both events.

WWN Announces Recruitment Camp

WWN also announced on Tuesday that NXT General Manager William Regal will be helping with the upcoming Recruitment Camp. Regal works as WWE Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting. The camp will be running from August 16th-18th, in Port Richey, FL.

This camp comes on the heels of their last one, held in April, which was reported as a success. The following blurb appeared on their site:

“The first ever three-day WWN Recruitment Camp last April was an unprecedented learning experience and opportunity. Stephen Wolf earned a WWN contract and a tryout at the WWE Performance Center from this opportunity. WWN is finalizing the details of the next camp. It will take place August 16th-18th in Port Richey, FL. We are excited to announce that the legendary William Regal will take part in this camp. We will have an official press release out later this week with all the details.”
