With three goals up, Barcelona are comfortably in the driver’s seat when they visit Anfield on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, injuries keep stacking for Liverpool with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino unavailable for this matchup.

Nonetheless, the Reds should not be taken lightly with the advantage of playing at home.

With Liverpool still fighting for a Premier League crown, their hopes of advancing have probably dwindled. However, never underestimate Liverpool at home.

Barcelona, however, have to play the game safe with perhaps the same squad.

Needless to say, but Liverpool outplayed them at Camp Nou last Wednesday.

If it wasn’t for Lionel Messi and his magic, and Liverpool not failing to score, the end result may had been different.

Team News

Liverpool forward Salah will be out due to the concussion protocol. Additionally, forward Roberto Firmino is suffering from a muscle tear and will also not be available. Jurgen Klopp will have to count with Divock Origi who gave Liverpool a late winning goal against Newcastle last Saturday. Also, Naby Keita is out with a groin injury while Adam Lallama with a muscle injury is out for the season.

Meanwhile, Ernesto Valverde will not feature Ousmane Dembele did not travel to Anfield as he suffered yet another muscle injury.

Predicted Lineup

Liverpool XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Mané, Shaqiri, Origi.

Barcelona XI (4-3-3): Ter Stegen; Roberto, Piqué, Lenglet, Alba; Vidal, Busquets, Rakitic; Messi, Suárez, Coutinho.

Prediction (Liverpool vs Barcelona Preview)

Liverpool’s task is difficult. Not only they have to score but they have to deny Barcelona from scoring any additional goals. It will only get difficult without Salah and Firmino but their backups have played well when playing. Daniel Sturridge, Xherdan Shaqiri and Origi are Klopp’s options but Shaqiri is fast with Origi in a stellar form.

However, Barcelona goes to Anfield and cruises to the final to face either Ajax or Tottenham despite losing at Anfield.

Prediction: Liverpool 2 – 1 Barcelona
