RAW Recap for the March 25, 2019 Episode of Monday Night RAW
Hour One
RAW kicks off with the announcement that Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair will be the main event of WrestleMania 35. Congratulations are in order for the women for working hard and making this moment possible.
Ronda Rousey marches down to the ring. She basically takes credit for the women main eventing this year and drops the mic.
Ronda shockingly picks the mic back up and further hammers home how cool she is by saying she’ll submit Charlotte and Becky at the same time and drops the mic again.
You’ll never believe this, but Ronda picks the mic up for a third time and admits she doesn’t understand what a “Beat The Clock Challenge” is, even though she played WWE 2k for a solid thirty-seven hours.
We start to get a strip tease from Ronda, but The Riott Squad come out to interrupt.
Everyone’s favorite Irishwoman walks out onto the stage. Becky’s excited to have shipped up to Boston. She says that no one cared about Ronda until “The Man” came around. Becky promises to beat Ronda at WrestleMania.
Ric Flair’s daughter arrives next, because we need some comic relief in our lives.
“Ronda, Becky, blah blah blah blah blah…” -Charlotte Flair, no seriously
Charlotte takes credit, like Ronda, and says the main event is all because of her hard work.
Beat The Clock Challenge: Ronda Rousey vs Sarah Logan
Result: Ronda submits Logan; The time is set at 1:25
- Ronda breaks Logan’s arm with an Armbar
Beat The Clock Challenge: Charlotte Flair vs Ruby Riott
Result: Charlotte is unable to beat the time
Beat The Clock Challenge: Becky Lynch vs Liv Morgan
Result: Becky beats the time with :07 left
- Becky wins with the Dis-Arm-Her
1-on-2 Handicap; If Finn wins, he gets an Intercontinental Championship opportunity at WrestleMania 35: Finn Balor vs Jinder Mahal and Bobby Lashley
Result: Balor pins Jinder
- Before the match, Lio Rush claims he is unable to job to Finn due to injury, so he chooses Jinder Mahal as his replacement
- Finn pins Jinder after hitting the Coup De Grace
Elias gets shown up by a street performer in New York City.
Two on Two Tag Team: Aleister Black & Rick O’Shea vs The Revival
Result: Ricochet pins Dash
- Black hits a Double Black Mass
- Ricochet hits a 630 Senton for the win
Drew “Stop Tweeting Me About 3MB” McIntyre takes to the ring next.
Drew says he doesn’t care if people like him. He wants an answer from Roman Reigns about his challenge to a match at WrestleMania.
The man who made Leukemia tap, Roman Reigns marches down to the ring. He tells Drew to keep his mouth shut and attacks him.
They brawl for a little while, but Drew gets the upper hand and Claymore Kicks Roman.
Hour Two
Backstage, Dean Ambrose attempts to make Renee Young giggle by challenging Drew McIntyre to a Last Man Standing match. Drew’s schedule is open, so he agrees.
Women’s One on One: Sasha Banks vs Natalya
Result: Tamina and Nia ruin the fun for, like, the fourth week in a row
Charly the Heel interviews Kurt Angle about his decision to face Samoa Joe later in the night.
Kurt says he wants to be ready for Baron Corbin, so he needs a challenging match.
Baron Corbin arrives and asks Kurt how old he is.
Charly Caruso asks Sasha and Bayley for a title shot. Sasha says she’ll take on anyone at ‘Mania. Bayley’s like, “what the hell, dude?”
Alexa Bliss saves the night single-handedly with “A Moment of Bliss.”
Alexa forgets she’s a former Women’s Champion and says hosting WrestleMania is the biggest achievement of her career. She introduces Braun Strowman.
Alexa asks what would happen if the SNL guys got caught by Braun. Braun says he’ll try and kill them.
The SNL guys pop up on the Titantron. They try to apologize, but Braun threatnes bodily harm. Colin, I think his name is, enters into the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. Colin enters the other SNL guy into the battle royal.
Elias drinks some coffee.
One on One: Baron Corbin vs Apollo Crews
Result: Baron pins Apollo
- Baron wins after hitting The End of Days
Hour Three
Seth Rollins briefly discusses the art of being a seamstress. Seth says the future of the company relies on the shoulders of either himself or Brock Lesnar. He says a true champion inspires others. Seth says Brock does not inspire people and facing him is Seth’s biggest match ever. I’m pretty sure he goes on to say he’ll beat Brock.
Paul E Dangerously interrupts Seth. He basically says Seth will lose to Brock.
Seth charges Paul, but he laughs and walks away.
One on One: Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe
Result: Kurt pins Joe
- Kurt flips over in the Coquina Clutch to pin Joe
Triple H comes out and makes a few dad jokes. He parodies the Spice Girls, which is really funny actually.
Trips mentions Batista wants him to put his career on the line in their match. He accepts, since he knows he should be able to beat Batista.
Elias gets mugged.
Last Man Standing: Dean Ambrose vs Drew McIntyre
Result: McIntyre wins
- Dean hits Dirty Deeds
- Drew sends Dean through a table
- Drew hits a Claymore Kick, which forces Ambrose down for the 10-count
