WWE Ratings

WWE Ratings are declining on both RAW and Smackdown Live. This is a major blow to the Chairman, Vincent K. McMahon.

The Problem!?

Both RAW and Smackdown have almost all the same championship belts. If the company is still going with the brand split, they should at least create something new with the titles.

New titles means wrestling fans will have two whole different shows to watch, with NXT being the third and only wrestling based show.

How should the company present two totally different shows?

Since RAW is the superior brand, the Universal Title, Intercontinental Title, RAW Tag Team Titles and Women’s Title (should be named at least named women’s Featherweight Championship Title) to be put on that show.

But for the blue brand (the land of opportunity), they should have their Heavyweight Title, US Title (open challenge), Women’s Tag Team Titles (on both brands), New Women’s mid-card title (named: Queen of the Ring Championship Title) and Men’s First-Ever Hardcore Tag Team Titles. This will make a whole new show, something that will be different with RAW.

Queen of the Ring Championship Belt and Men’s Hardcore Tag Team Championship Belts!

Will it work?

At least fans are going to see something new, and the company themselves can make money via WWEShop.com with new replica belts. How can you defend the title is a whole different story.

Unlike other titles, the Queen of the Ring Championship title can only be defended by the traditional “tournament” rules. And for the Hardcore Tag Team Titles, the SmackDown tag team division is more chaotic than RAW, so it’s better for them to have this kind of title.

If the company wants to have more viewers, they need to create two brands with different concepts; We are not going to watch both shows if they have the same thing.

WWE Ratings won’t go up just by adding new faces to the mix.

Adding more will only pile up the roster with some not getting the push they deserve, because they have to give their spaces to newcomers. Just like The Revival who won the Tag Team championships weeks ago but lost clean to the newly debuted duo, #DIY. These are all the wrong decisions that the creative teams are doing and the reason the ratings are still dropping!

What do you think? Can new titles bring interest back to the fans? Leave a comment.
