RAW Recap for the March 4, 2019 Episode of Monday Night RAW
1/3 Hour
RAW opens this week with Roman Reigns making his way to the ring. Reigns says that last week was his return to his yard, but this week he is taking it back.
Seth Rollins joins Roman in the ring. Seth says he is happy to have Roman back. He promises to go to WrestleMania and bring back the Universal Championship. But he states that if anyone deserves a shot at Brock Lesnar, it’s Roman Reigns.
Roman wishes Seth good luck in his fight against Lesnar. He asks Seth for a favor: Getting the “band” back together. Seth tells him there’s no way. Roman says he wants one more moment with Dean and Seth because there’s no certain future anymore.
Seth agrees life is too short. He says he’ll agree to bring The SHIELD back one more time.
Dean Ambrose comes out next. Before Dean can give his take, Elias attacks him from behind with a guitar. Seth and Roman try to help Dean to his feet, but Ambrose shoves them away.
6-Man Tag Team: Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, and Kurt Angle vs Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley
Result: Lashley pins Balor
- Lashley wins with the Spear
- After the match, Corbin, McIntyre, and Lashley beat down Angle and Balor with steel ring steps
Charly Caruso interviews the greatest tag team of modern day WWE, Heavy Machinery. In a very odd break of character, Otis tells Charly, in not his usual voice, that the things the other RAW tag teams have said hurt his feelings. Tucker says that they will take on every team on RAW.
Women’s One on One: Ruby Riott vs Natalya
Result: Natalya pins Riott
- Natalya reverses a leverage pin to defeat Riott
- After the match, Lacey Evans continues to make us wonder what is going on by doing her little turn on the catwalk. On the catwalk, yeah. She does her little turn on the catwalk.
I don’t know what happens here. Just… Absurdity, really.
2/3 Hour
Triple H comes down to the ring to address the incident with Batista the week before. Hunter calls Ric Flair by his real name and says Richard Fleihr is his hero and mentor.
Triple H calls Batista a quitter. He tells Batista to be a man and show up and face him. He says he won’t get the character, but the real man if he is willing to man up and face him.
Stephanie McMahon reinstates Becky Lynch to bring a little more light in his dark world.
Tag Team Gauntlet: Heavy Machinery vs Hawkins & Ryder vs The Ascension vs The B-Team
Result: Otis scores the final fall to win the gauntlet
The guys from Saturday Night Live return.
Charlotte tells Charly Caruso that “The Man” doesn’t live up to her level. Charlotte says that the WWE Universe gets to bask in her glory when she becomes RAW Women’s Champion.
One on One: Elias vs Dean Ambrose
Result: Elias pins Ambrose
- Elias wins with Drift Away
After the match, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins try once again to get Dean to join them again as The SHIELD. Ambrose leaves through the crowd as Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, and Baron Corbin come out. Dean comes back to help fight off McIntyre, Lashley, and Corbin.
Ambrose, Reigns, and Rollins pose with the triple fist bump in the middle of the ring.
3/3 Hour
Women’s One on One: Sasha Banks vs Tamina
Result: Tamina pins Banks
- Tamina hits a Superkick for the pinfall win
“Comedy”
RAW Tag Team Championships Two on Two: The Revival (c) vs Ricochet and Aleister Black
Result: Dawson and Dash win via DQ after Roode & Gable attack The Revival
Stephanie McMahon takes to the ring with the vacant RAW Women’s Championship. Before she begins, she welcomes out Charlotte Flair. Becky Lynch comes out next, following an introduction from Stephanie.
Stephanie explains that Charlotte and Becky’s match at Fastlane will be for the RAW Women’s Championship. Since she is still technically injured, Stephanie asks Becky to sign a “hold harmless agreement”.
As soon as Becky signs the agreement, Ronda Rousey storms to the ring. Ronda tells Stephanie to give her the title back.
Stephanie hands over the title back to Ronda. She says Becky will still face Charlotte at Fastlane, but it won’t be for the title. Instead, if Becky wins, it will be a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania for the RAW Women’s Championship.
After fully turning against the fans, Ronda attacks Charlotte and Becky.
Stephanie clearly wants Ronda to beat up Becky, but she won’t admit it yet. She says she has no control over Ronda.
