Curry And Durant Notch Milestones

In Monday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies, the Golden State Warriors won a well-played game. They also watched a couple of their All-stars in Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant reached a couple of significant NBA milestones. Curry reached his achievement of 15,000 career points by dropping a three-pointer. Curry’s first recorded official basket was on October 28, 2009, and he reached his milestone nine years later in Monday’s game. It was a 2-point mid-range jumper by Curry that began his career milestone against the Houston Rockets in 2009.

Durant also reached his own career achievement in Monday’s win against Memphis. He passed Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird (21,791) for 33rd on the NBA’s All-time scoring list. Obviously, this definitely will add fuel to the discussions of Durant being one of the best NBA players of his era. His accomplishment also should certainly put him up for consideration for being one of the NBA’s best debate and discussions.

Warriors Set The Tone Against The Grizzlies And Grabbed The Win

The Warriors are known to win games when they can set the tone and force the opposing team to play at the pace they feel most comfortable with. That’s exactly what they did against Memphis. They took control from the beginning and throughout the majority of the game. The Warriors also looked energized and in sync with one another and played their individual roles exceptionally. The final score was 110-93 and the Warriors won the game and both units played very well.

Durant put up 23 points, five assists, and seven defensive rebounds. Curry walked off with 22 points, 5-5 free throws, and seven defensive rebounds. Klay Thompson also had 16 points, three assists, and five rebounds.

Just like the starters, the bench also had a good game. Jonas Jerebko had 16 points, 4-7 from 3-point range, one assist, and five rebounds. Andre Iguodala put up 10 points, two assists, and five rebounds. Jordan Bell and Alfonzo Mckinnie both put up four points each to finish the game.
