Burnley vs Liverpool Preview

Turf Moor will be completely sold out when the host Burnley receives Liverpool tonight.

The Clarets face yet another big challenge while Sean Dyche’s side look to pull off a landmark result.

The Reds, however, know the potential Burnley has as they suffered a loss at their hands two years ago at Anfield and were really close to taking a point away the last time they met on New Year’s Day.

Despite their historic 2017-18 campaign, the Clarets have been unlucky this season only winning two of their last 14 Premier League matches while conceding 29 goals.

Their best outcome came late in September where they defeated Bournemouth and Cardiff City.

Nevertheless, Liverpool seeks to continue their winning streak as they look to stay in the hunt to catch Manchester City who have a five point lead with one more game played.

Team News

Jürgen Klopp’s side will the Reds captain Jordan Henderson back in the lineup after serving a one-game suspension. However, there are some fitness doubts over Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson who suffered some minor injuries.

The Clarets have no fresh injury concerns aside from doubts over Steven Defour. However, Nick Pope and Stephen Ward continue to be absent due to the extent of their long-term injuries.

Predicted Lineup

Burnley Potential XI: Hart; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor; Lennon, Westwood, Cork, Gudmundsson; Hendrick; Voakes.

Liverpool Potential XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Milner, Keïta; Shaqiri; Salah, Sturridge.

Prediction

Despite only winning one of their last seven away games against teams in relegation zone, the Reds are still in pandemonium after coming victorious against Everton in the Merseyside Derby.

However, Burnley are not shy from upsetting the big guns once again.

Nonetheless, there is an opportunity for Liverpool to swept past the frail Clarets.

Burnley 2 – 2 Liverpool
