WWE Starrcade 2018 to Air on WWE Network as a One Hour Special

Starrcade, originally owned by WCW, is a wrestling event that is the revival of a classic wrestling tradition. Last year, for a special WWE Live Event in Greensboro, North Carolina, WWE put together a card that was a throwback to a classic WCW format. The matches include several multi-man tag matches and a main event Steel Cage match for the world title.

This year, in Cincinnati this time, WWE is planning another Starrcade. Only this time the event will air on the WWE Network as a special one hour show.

Starrcade

According to WrestlingInc, this year’s Starrcade event will air on the WWE Network. It will not air live, but will be edited down with select matches from the night before. That matches WWE is going to select to air hasn’t been announced yet.

It is said that both scheduled world championship matches have been scraped. The WWE and SmackDown Women’s championships were originally going to be defended. But since Daniel Bryan won the title, and Becky Lynch is currently injured, both matches have been changed or dropped all together.

Other matches include Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins in a Street Fight for the Intercontinental Championship. The New Day vs The Bar for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships is also scheduled. Elias is also set to perform a live concert with special guest WWE Hall of Famer, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair.

Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and some other Superstars will also make an appearance at this event.
